Identity and methodology

About the Museum of Artificial Intelligence

The Museum of Artificial Intelligence is a free, independent, bilingual digital museum about the history, workings, social consequences and possible futures of artificial intelligence.

What it is: a born-digital museum project with a documented digital collection. It does not claim ownership of the physical originals it presents and is not a state-recognised museum.

Curatorship and organisation

Concept, founder and curator: Konstantinos Koustas. The project is an independent curatorial initiative with free public access, no account and no subscription. It is not affiliated with, or funded by, an AI company.

The collection

The Greek and English editions each contain 62 standalone exhibits. Each record distinguishes, where relevant, historical evidence, physical object, photographic reproduction, facsimile, reconstruction and curatorial representation.

Read the Collections Policy.

Curatorial method

The museum distinguishes historical fact from curatorial interpretation and, in Room 9, present evidence from trends and forecasts. Sources and curatorial review dates are published in exhibit records.

Licence

Original curatorial text is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 unless stated otherwise. Images, historical records, code and third-party material retain their own licences.

Privacy and accessibility

No account is required. “Ask the exhibit” is a local rule-based JavaScript feature that uses only the published record on the page; the question is not sent to an external model or provider. Full privacy notice.
